A study by Yale University found that reading prolongs life.
The life expectancy of participants (over 50 at the time of the study) who read up to three and a half hours a week was 17 percent higher than that of non-readers.
Those who spent more than three and a half hours a week reading had a 23 percent higher life expectancy.
The reason: reading stimulates the brain cells, trains mental abilities and emotional intelligence.
Just half an hour a day is already worth it.
