Dads work more compared to childless men and this on the whole professional lifespan, from the time point they get children until they retire.

In the age groups with ages from 40 to 59 years, dads work 5 hours or more overtime weekly compared to other men.

It is also possible that even before getting children dads to be more active in their professional lives and for this reason to be better looked for women, giving them more trust to choose them as their partners.

Successful men marry and become dads with a higher probability compared to men with a lower income.

The reason is: The higher engagement makes the workplace much surer.
