I put magic in my daily life

Celebrate nature, draw on witch rituals, develop your extrasensory qualities… In yourself, at home, around you, all our advice to revive energy and brighten up the cold season.

Cultivate Your Internal Strength

There is no need to equip yourself with grimoires or objects of great value, magic begins first with self-exploration.

“The most important thing is to understand that magic is interior and inherent to the person who practices it, and that the accessories are only the support of being,” explains Mare Neu, sorcerer and author of a work which dusts off the practice. of magic (“To read” opposite). The ceremony, the ritual is a staging that allows you to externalize what is happening within you. These are codes of understanding of consciousness which will then speak to the unconscious. » His advice for getting started.

Connect with the rhythm of the seasons

The Christmas period is when the nights are the longest, but it is also a time of joy, because it is the last breath of the darkness which, from December 21, decreases. Thanks to rituals that put you in touch with it, your senses are refined and you tune into another frequency. If you can understand these cycles, you find your axis, you begin your inner transformation and react differently to situations.

Celebrate the change

A symbolic act allows us to understand how energy evolves within oneself. Set up a small altar then, at each season transition, place an object on it corresponding to the new one. No need to buy them, go to the forest and collect what nature puts at your disposal. You can add a candle to bring back the light. The important thing is to become aware of what is happening and to accompany it with a symbolic gesture.

Keep a journal of your thoughts

Introspection is essential in this time of darkness. Welcome your thoughts (without countering or judging them) as they are, by writing them down in a notebook.

THE RITUAL – I collected an amulet

Rather than handling crystals or stones whose provenance we do not know, Marc Neu advises taking a meditative walk of several hours, or even a day, alone of course. “This walk with yourself allows you to analyze your year, its strengths, its weaknesses, your desires for the future,” he says. At the end of the walk, stop and pick up a stone to take home. Keep it carefully, it will become your talisman or charm for the year. It crystallizes this entire period of transition that you are experiencing. If you have artistic talents, you can draw on it, put it in a “mojo bag”, then under your pillow at night and in your pocket to accompany your meditations.

Purify your home

Your interior is a sacred space where the visible and the invisible coexist. Harmonize your living space, regularly clear it of negative waves that undermine your vitality.

Bewitch the household

But yes, it is possible to transform this laborious activity into a magical and joyful ceremony. “All you have to do is use materially and energetically purifying products, and recite banishing prayers that you can sing at the top of your lungs with the music playing loudly! ,” assures Marc Neu, who offers, in his work, soap, elixir, purifying salt, and even invites us to make a witch’s broom, “in a pocket version to purify objects, the office and people; he brings life and chases away darkness.”

THE RITUAL – I sow salt

It cleanses, purifies and absorbs the negative, but before using it, Marc Neu advises purifying it with fire, because purchased coarse salt is often “saturated” energetically speaking. Spread two kilos of natural sea salt on an oven tray in grill mode for half an hour. Repeat three times in a row, letting it cool for ten minutes between each. Then place it in an airtight container made of thick plastic that insulates it and prevents it from becoming saturated.
In practice: spread it on the ground then vacuum it up; place it in cups in the corners of the rooms and change it regularly; make it a decorative item by putting it with flowers in a glass container. “So it just seems decorative, when in reality it is a guardian of what comes into your home,” confides Marc Neu.
